Infrastructure Delivery Rack Migration Technician, Global Data Center Operations (GDCO)

Key Responsibilities- Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
- Install fiber and copper cabling and perform patching between equipment.
- Maintain proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
- Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
- Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
- Travel within and outside of the assigned regional work area; maintain a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41 or more pounds.
- Work in a 24/7 environment and be available for primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Operate in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely without limitation.
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
- Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
- Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of the assigned facility.
- Must be able to travel 50 miles or more or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites.
- Must be a U.S. citizen when assigned to AWS Gov Cloud region; logical access will be restricted to U.S. citizens.
- Eligible candidates may receive a lump‑sum relocation stipend.
- 1+ year of computer networking experience.
- 1+ year of Linux operating systems experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in computer networking.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems.
- Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking, stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

The base salary range for this position is 30.00 – 54.00 USD hourly. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
