Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Diesel Truck/Trailer Mechanic to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on our tractor and trailer equipment. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
- Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components.
- Inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggest corrective actions.
- Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment, and take steps to solve the issue if possible.
- Complete complex work orders with proper coding (Reason for Repair (RFR), American Trucking Association (ATA)), description of condition, cause, and correction, including properly completing warranty return tags as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.

- Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.

Hourly wage range for this position is $30.75-$34.25. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
