Job Description & How to Apply Below

An experienced Manager of Environmental Services has the rare opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role shaping a clean, safe, and survey-ready care environment across a respected community hospital in Northeastern Oregon. This is more than oversight of housekeeping operations-it is hospital-wide leadership influencing regulatory compliance, patient satisfaction, team engagement, and quality improvement at every level of care.

This healthcare organization offers the kind of practice environment seasoned leaders value: accessible executive leadership, collaborative clinical partnerships, and the autonomy to run your department with confidence. You will find stable staffing, engaged department directors, and a culture that prioritizes accountability without micromanagement. Onboarding is intentional, and long-term career growth is supported through meaningful leadership exposure and involvement in strategic operational planning.

The result is a workplace where your voice carries weight and your decisions create measurable impact.

Leading the Environmental Services (EVS) and Support Services functions, you will oversee daily operations across inpatient units, surgical services, and high-traffic public areas, ensuring a consistently clean and safe care environment
. This includes staffing models, workflow optimization, productivity benchmarks, infection prevention alignment, and readiness for regulatory review. As the EVS Manager, you will partner closely with nursing and physician leaders to address throughput, room turnaround efficiency, and patient experience metrics while driving performance improvement initiatives within Housekeeping and Environmental Care teams. Operational ownership is real here-policies, quality audits, vendor management, and team development sit squarely within your scope.

Reporting directly to senior operational leadership, the Manager of Environmental Services collaborates daily with nursing administration, facilities, infection prevention, and ancillary department heads to ensure seamless support of clinical care. You will guide supervisors and frontline staff through coaching, performance management, and professional development while aligning departmental goals with broader hospital objectives. Success in this role requires a leader comfortable with visibility, interdisciplinary influence, and decisive action that advances both patient care standards and operational efficiency.

Located in Northeastern Oregon
, this region offers a refreshing lifestyle balance-short commutes, affordable housing, and immediate access to outdoor recreation including hiking, fishing, and skiing. Residents enjoy a strong sense of community, highly rated schools, and a four-season climate that appeals to leaders seeking space, pace, and quality of life without sacrificing professional challenge.

The compensation range for this role is $86,610 - $100,010, complemented by comprehensive executive healthcare benefits, retirement contributions, generous paid time off, and support for continuing education and leadership development.
