Position SummaryThe Senior Manager II, Site Engineer – Supply Chain leads site-level operational excellence by partnering with Distribution Center leadership to drive end-to-end improvements. This role manages the workload and development of Process Quality Engineers, applies advanced continuous improvement methods to eliminate losses, and strengthens adoption of the Walmart Performance System (WPS) and Daily Management System (DMS). You'll deliver sustained performance gains through disciplined problem solving, standardization, and strong cross-functional leadership.
This team supports automated grocery building control centers and serves as subject matter experts in network grocery automation. The group leads project implementation and sustainment by partnering with stakeholders to define objectives, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement. The team also develops tools and analytics to improve operational efficiency, supports training, and helps manage organizational change to keep work aligned to business goals.
You'll Do
- Build strategic partnerships with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Process Improvement Manager to drive end-to-end site improvements
- Manage and prioritize Process Quality Engineer workloads to balance network-driven initiatives with site-specific needs
- Apply continuous improvement tools (RCA, time & motion, SPC, process deviation, 5S, Six Sigma) to eliminate losses and create standards that sustain gains
- Support WPS effectiveness by engaging leaders, demonstrating results, and strengthening problem-solving capability across the building
- Lead DMS review-and-response routines through root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation
- Partner in network One Best Way standard implementation and deviation processes
- Drive execution of multiple business plans/projects by setting priorities, removing barriers, measuring progress, and adjusting as needed
- Select, develop, and lead associates through coaching, performance expectations, evaluations, and recognition while reinforcing a culture of belonging
- Evaluate the effectiveness of plans/programs and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness through stakeholder input and data
- Strong operational knowledge of Distribution Center work processes, including loss profiles and continuous improvement mindsets
- Demonstrated expertise with process improvement and problem-solving methodologies (RCA, Six Sigma, time & motion, SPC, 5S, deviation management)
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, including workload management, coaching, and performance management
- Project leadership experience managing multiple initiatives with clear priorities, accountability, and sustained execution
- Data-driven decision-making skills using performance metrics to drive corrective actions and measurable results
- Commitment to ethics, integrity, compliance, and reinforcing company values in day-to-day execution

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years' experience in Continuous Improvement work or related area OR 6 years' experience in Engineering, Continuous Improvement work or related area. 4 years' experience leading teams. Knowledge and application of a functioning Quality Management System elements (for example, Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Quality Key Performance Indicators). Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long term savings.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
