Processing Technician – Days, Hermiston, OR
Processing Technician role offers a diverse range of responsibilities to team members looking to immerse themselves in all areas of L1 processing. Operating each work week under a rotating schedule allows each team member to contribute in several aspects benefit ting our CBN goals on a weekly basis. This safety focused, team oriented, and target driven position provides a solid career path for future leaders of Lamb Weston.
Responsibilities- Actively participates in Lamb Weston Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice programs.
- Conducts process quality checks per procedure and by request of Production Lead, Team Leader Production, Team Leader Quality, Team Leader Area Production, and Line Structure Team.
- Performs all Daily Management System standards per schedule to include CILs, FSILs, CLs, and defect handling.
- Operates cohesively with additional Line 1 Process Technician team members in the management of the Line 1 Process area, including all job functions from the L1 Evenflows through the L1 Fryer.
- Engages in scheduled AMD activities.
- Trained and qualified in L1 Processing, ADR, and Fryer positions.
- Sanitation qualification required; training will be provided for additional qualifications.
- Lock‑out/Tag‑out qualified (training provided if needed).
- Read, understand, and adhere to all plant rules and safety policies as specified in the Lamb Weston Employee Handbook.
- Practice proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Must be able to communicate, comprehend, and follow instructions in English (both written and oral).
- 1‑2 years of experience in food manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Functions well in a team environment.
- Demonstrates capable troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically.
- Basic proficiency in PC skills:
Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
- Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold.
- Perform repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
- Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
- Ability to operate work related equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay Rate or Range: $26.59 per hour (estimated).
