Job Overview
Co-Product Technician – D shift (Full‑time) in Hermiston, OR. The role involves safely operating and adjusting equipment across multiple processing and packaging areas, monitoring product quality, line flow rates and waste streams, and troubleshooting to improve safety, quality, and productivity in line with Lamb Weston’s Core 4 initiatives.
Job Responsibilities- Work cohesively with the Co‑Product team to manage processing and packaging areas, including all job functions from L3/4 through Co‑Product rapistan.
- Perform Daily Management System standards per schedule, covering CILs, FSILs, CLs and defect handling.
- Conduct checks per procedure and by request of Production Leads, Team Leaders, Quality Leaders, and Line Structure Teams.
- Own daily line sanitation, including line‑break sanitation, general housekeeping, and maintenance of a food‑safe work environment.
- Complete end‑of‑cycle sanitation for both processing and packaging.
- Use root cause analysis tools (IPS, UPS) and participate in related events on the line.
- Engage in scheduled pillar activities to reduce top losses and meet site goals.
- Conduct peer‑to‑peer handoffs for unresolved issues that affect line performance on and off shift.
- Actively participate in Lamb Weston safety and Good Manufacturing Practice programs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Ability to communicate, comprehend, and follow instructions in English (written and oral).
- Qualification in L2/L3 Formed Product, L2/L3 Co‑Product Packaging, and Sanitation – training provided.
- Qualification in Lock Out Tag Out on L2/L3 equipment – training provided.
- Team‑oriented work style.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and critical‑thinking skills.
- Basic PC proficiency:
Windows, Word, Excel.
- Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
- Work in a noisy environment with variable temperatures.
- Perform repetitive arm, wrist and hand movements.
- Work with hands and arms overhead, and operate equipment under or nearby machinery.
- Maintain visual acuity for close, distance, peripheral and depth vision, with focus adjustment.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
