Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Nurse Manager with a current Oregon RN license and a strong background in perioperative services.
Responsibilities- Position is based in the operating room (OR) of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Responsible for supervising intraoperative nursing care and supporting multiple specialties, including robotics, ortho, urology, general surgery, GYN, neuro, ERCP, and vascular
- Work directly with the surgical services leadership team and coordinate departmental activities over a 24-hour period
- Manage OR areas both operationally and fiscally, assisting in budget development and ensuring safe patient care
- Supervise and evaluate performance of OR personnel, including RNs, LPNs, scrub techs, perioperative aides, CNAs, and unit clerks
- Incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care and support team education
- Coordinate and facilitate changes within the OR and serve as a member of multidisciplinary planning teams
- Participate in performance improvement projects, professional development, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Professional attire and adherence to hospital policies are required
- No COVID-19 vaccination requirement specified
- Active RN license in the State of Oregon
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required;
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CNOR
- Minimum of 5 years of operating room or ambulatory surgery center experience required
- Experience in robotics, ortho, urology, general surgery, GYN, neuro, ERCP, and vascular surgeries required
- Previous management experience and ION robot experience preferred
