Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room (Circulator) for a 13-week travel assignment in Oregon, requiring active RN licensure and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities- Operating room setting within a hospital, specializing in perioperative and intraoperative surgical nursing
- Circulator role serving all patient populations across perioperative services
- Day shift schedule
- On-call responsibilities required on a regularly scheduled rotation
- Travelers are floated to other departments before core staff when qualified to perform patient care
- Responsibilities include intraoperative patient advocacy, surgical site safety, specimen management, medication administration, and accurate nursing documentation
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and supports continuity of care throughout the perioperative continuum
- Previous RN circulator experience, Peri-op 101 coursework, and scrub experience are preferred
- CNOR certification and Peri-op 101 completion are preferred; CRASE training will be required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
- BSN and CNOR certification are preferred but not required
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
- Active RN license in the state of Oregon currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and transition between duties without loss of efficiency
- Strong communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills
