RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Specialize in perioperative nursing practice during intraoperative surgical procedures

• Participate in regular scheduled on-call rotation for Surgery Unit

• Protect patients from injury caused by chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources

• Perform accounting procedures to prevent unintended retained surgical items

• Ensure procedures are performed on correct site, side, and level

• Manage patient specimens according to organizational policy

• Administer medications safely and correctly

• Maintain patient wound and tissue perfusion at baseline levels

• Monitor and maintain patient's multiple body systems during procedures

• Protect patients from surgical site infections

• Document nursing care accurately, completely, and legibly

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members

• Act as patient advocate while maintaining privacy and confidentiality

• May be floated to other qualified departments as needed

• Required certifications:
Current Oregon RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

• Preferred certifications: CNOR, Peri-op 101

• Associate of Science in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred

• Previous RN circulator experience and scrub experience preferred
