• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures in the medical‑surgical unit
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment response
• Initiate the computerized Plan of Care on admission and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and age‑appropriate, culturally sensitive care; document accurately and timely
• Support discharge planning and patient education; participate in required education for applicable programs
• May be floated to other departments where qualified to perform patient care duties as needed

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN/MSN preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Current RN license in the State of Oregon; BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Certifications:
  
  Certified Medical‑Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred
• Experience:
  
  Previous Medical‑Surgical nursing preferred
• Additional: CRASE training preferred; if travel assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required
• Competencies:
  
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team; uphold patient confidentiality and demonstrate empathy and effective communication with patients and staff
