Job Overview
Travel RN Interventional Radiology in Hermiston, Oregon. 13‑week assignment, 40 hours per week, 8‑hour days.

Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive pre‑procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results
- Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post‑procedure care
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels during procedures
- Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling
- Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary
- Provide post‑procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, medications, and procedural details
- Collaborate with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
- One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- PALS or ENPC certifications
- ACLS certification
- RCIS/RCES certification
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- English language proficiency for reading, writing, and communication
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal Skills – Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel and present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/Motor Skills – Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision occasionally, and maintain continuous concentration to detail
- Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
