Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

What You'll Do As an OR RN, you will play a vital role throughout the intraoperative surgical experience, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide variety of surgical populations. You will serve as a patient advocate while working alongside surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff.
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures
• Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment
• Monitor and protect patients throughout the operative experience
• Perform surgical counts and implement patient safety protocols
• Ensure correct patient, procedure, site, and surgical level verification
• Administer medications safely and accurately
• Manage specimens according to organizational policies
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical and interdisciplinary care team
• Communicate patient status throughout the continuum of care
• Document care accurately and thoroughly
• Support infection prevention and quality initiatives
• Advocate for patient rights, dignity, privacy, and culturally competent care
• Participate in on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit

Qualifications
Required

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Active RN license in the State of Oregon
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Ability to work independently while remaining adaptable in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous OR Circulator experience
• Scrub experience
• Peri-op 101 completion
• CNOR certification
