Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) in Hermiston, Oregon. Perioperative nurse specialized in intraoperative care, starting 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,301–$2,438 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days (7am–7pm). Work in a rural, acute perioperative care setting providing patient-family centered care in the operating room and related perioperative services. The role includes patient advocacy, supervision of assigned personnel, and regular on-call rotations for the Surgery Unit.

06/08/2026 - On-call rotation for the Surgery Unit; agency nurses may float to other departments as needed before core staff
- Deliver safe, effective perioperative nursing care during the intraoperative period and support perioperative services for all patient populations
- Act as patient advocate, protect patient rights and privacy, and coordinate care with the surgical team
- Supervise and direct personnel assigned to the case; collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
- Ensure procedural accuracy: correct patient, site, side, and procedure; manage specimens per policy; prevent retained items; protect patient from injury
- Administer medications safely, support wound and tissue perfusion, and maintain fluid/electrolyte and acid-base balance
- Communicate patient status across care continuum; document nursing care accurately; participate in required education aligned with applicable programs (DNV where relevant)
- Participate in on-call rotation and, when agency staff are present, float to other departments as needed before core staff are floated
- Education:
Associate of Science in Nursing required;
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred - Licenses/certifications:
Current RN license in Oregon; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC required - Experience:
None required; preferred: prior RN circulator experience, Peri-op 101 coursework, scrub experience - Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, PALS required - Ability to work in an intraoperative perioperative setting and participate in regular on-call rotations
