Job Title: Interventional Radiology / Cardiology Registered Nurse (RN) Job : 86953 Location: Oregon Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology / Cardiology RN to join a dynamic, high-performing team delivering life-saving, minimally invasive procedures. What you will be doing: Clinical Excellence & Patient Advocacy
- Deliver specialized nursing care for interventional and cardiac procedures
- Serve as a strong patient advocate, ensuring safety, dignity, and optimal outcomes
- Rapidly recognize and respond to complications such as arrhythmias, bleeding, contrast reactions, stroke alerts, and cardiac emergencies
- Circulator RN
- Administer medications including anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, and contrast
- Maintain sterile technique and support procedural flow
- Anticipate physician needs and ensure seamless coordination
- Moderate Sedation RN
- Administer and monitor sedation per protocol
- Continuously assess vital signs, hemodynamics, and patient responsiveness
- Act swiftly in managing sedation-related complications
- Scrub Role
- Assist physicians using sterile technique during procedures
- Prepare and manage instruments, catheters, guide wires, and devices
- Anticipate needs during critical moments with precision and confidence
- Monitoring Role
- Record hemodynamic data and procedural events in real time
- Operate monitoring systems including ECG and oxygen saturation
- Ensure accurate documentation of medications, devices, and outcomes
- Partner closely with physicians, Rad Techs, and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in pre-procedure assessments including allergies, NPO status, and renal function
- Ensure compliance with timeout protocols and safety standards
- Support contrast allergy management and procedural planning
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care
- Perform vascular access management including sheath removal
- Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and support efficient room turnover
- Ensure equipment readiness, maintenance, and proper storage
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- BSN preferred
- Minimum 1 year in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology
- 3+ years in IR or Cath Lab preferred
- Experience with conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring highly valued
- Active RN license in Oregon
- BLS and ACLS required
- Specialty certifications preferred (RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, IV Certification)
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
- Ability to seamlessly shift between roles while maintaining composure
- Deep understanding of patient-centered, culturally competent care
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
