Job Title: Interventional Radiology / Cardiology Registered Nurse (RN) Job : 86953 Location: Oregon Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology / Cardiology RN to join a dynamic, high-performing team delivering life-saving, minimally invasive procedures. What you will be doing: Clinical Excellence & Patient Advocacy

• Deliver specialized nursing care for interventional and cardiac procedures
• Serve as a strong patient advocate, ensuring safety, dignity, and optimal outcomes
• Rapidly recognize and respond to complications such as arrhythmias, bleeding, contrast reactions, stroke alerts, and cardiac emergencies

Procedural Roles & Versatility You will rotate across key procedural roles, bringing both skill and adaptability:

• Circulator RN
  • Administer medications including anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, and contrast
  • Maintain sterile technique and support procedural flow
  • Anticipate physician needs and ensure seamless coordination
• Moderate Sedation RN
  • Administer and monitor sedation per protocol
  • Continuously assess vital signs, hemodynamics, and patient responsiveness
  • Act swiftly in managing sedation-related complications
• Scrub Role
  • Assist physicians using sterile technique during procedures
  • Prepare and manage instruments, catheters, guide wires, and devices
  • Anticipate needs during critical moments with precision and confidence
• Monitoring Role
  • Record hemodynamic data and procedural events in real time
  • Operate monitoring systems including ECG and oxygen saturation
  • Ensure accurate documentation of medications, devices, and outcomes

Collaboration & Safety

• Partner closely with physicians, Rad Techs, and the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in pre-procedure assessments including allergies, NPO status, and renal function
• Ensure compliance with timeout protocols and safety standards
• Support contrast allergy management and procedural planning

Department & Operational Support

• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care
• Perform vascular access management including sheath removal
• Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and support efficient room turnover
• Ensure equipment readiness, maintenance, and proper storage

What you must have: Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
• BSN preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1 year in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology
• 3+ years in IR or Cath Lab preferred
• Experience with conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring highly valued

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN license in Oregon
• BLS and ACLS required
• Specialty certifications preferred (RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, IV Certification)
