Position: Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) in Hermiston, Oregon. This travel assignment starts 06/29/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,060 to $2,189 and guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: Nights, 3x12‑hour shifts. Setting:

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments on arrival, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms.
  • Triage patients and prioritize care based on condition severity.
  • Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments per physician orders; perform emergency procedures (e.g., wound care, splinting).
  • Monitor patients continuously; respond to changing conditions and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff; document care plans and patient responses in the charting system.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and follow‑up care; advocate for patient rights and dignity.
  • Respond to rapid response calls and code blue emergencies; participate in infection control and quality improvement activities.
  • Manage supervision of any personnel assigned to the ER RN; participate in required education for applicable program curricula (e.g., DNV programs) as appropriate.
  • Be prepared for cross‑department coverage when agency staff are floated to other areas, ensuring safe patient care.
Requirements
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    Current RN license in the State of Oregon; ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
  • Experience:

    No specific clinical experience required; prior clinical experience preferred.
  • Additional:
    Ability to work in a fast‑paced ER environment; capable of performing 12‑hour night shifts; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and sustain long periods of standing and walking.
  • CRASE:
    If travel assignment extends beyond a 6‑month period, CRASE training will be required.
  • Physical/Functional:
    Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure; proficiency with EHR/documentation and infection control practices.
