Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse licenses in Oregon and Washington.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
Previous surgical experience preferred.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic.
Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice is preferred.
Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments via telephone and in-person consultations to evaluate patient readiness for surgery and anesthesia.
Perform systematic reviews of patient medical history, current medications, allergies, and previous surgical experiences.
Assess potential anesthesia and surgical risks using evidence-based tools and protocols.
Coordinate and document pre-operative testing, consultations, and medical clearances based on patient risk factors.
Communicate findings and recommendations to other healthcare providers, including anesthesia providers and surgeons.
Provide tailored pre-operative education to patients regarding procedures, anesthesia options, and readiness for surgery.
Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols specific to pre-admission services.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA and HIPAA standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to pre-admission services and patient outcomes.
