American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Oregon, requiring at least one year of critical care, ED, cath lab, or IR experience along with on-call availability.
Details- Hospital-based Interventional Radiology/Cardiology unit
- Patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures including angiography, embolization, cardiac catheterization, and other minimally invasive interventions
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week, with shift times of or
- On-call responsibilities required as needed
- 13-week contract
- Active OR RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or IR required
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program required
- IV certification required
- BSN preferred
- At least 3 years of IR or cath lab experience preferred
- Conscious sedation training and monitor role experience preferred
- RCIS or NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Performs nursing/circulator, moderate sedation monitoring, scrub, and hemodynamic monitor roles as assigned
- Administers medications including anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, contrast agents, and emergency drugs
- Manages moderate sedation per protocol, continuously monitoring vital signs, hemodynamics, oxygenation, ventilation, and level of consciousness
- Functions as scrub technologist when assigned, preparing sterile instruments, guide wires, catheters, sheaths, and procedural trays
- Operates and troubleshoots physiological monitoring systems including hemodynamic recorders, ECG, and pulse oximetry
- Assists with contrast allergy management in collaboration with radiologic technologists and physicians
- Performs sheath pulls and vascular access management as needed
- Supports room turnover, supply management, and equipment maintenance including ultrasound and IVUS devices
- Must be able to work with a culturally diverse patient population
