Emergency Room Registered Nurse – ER RN

Schedule:

Day shift – 3x12's

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the State of Oregon
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms.
• Prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition.
• Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments as per physician orders, including performing emergency procedures like wound care and splinting.
• Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and responses to treatments.
• Work collaboratively with the medical team, including physicians and support staff.
• Accurately document patient information and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR).
• Provide patients and families with information regarding diagnoses and follow-up care instructions.
• Respond to critical situations requiring immediate intervention.
• Advocate for patients' rights, dignity, and preferences.

Compliance / Notes:

• Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position.
• Agency nurses may be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care.
