Entry Level Technician - Quality Inspection Technician

Rogers Motors in Hermiston, Oregon has full‑time openings for Quality Inspection Technician – Entry. The role is part of our express team across our Hermiston dealerships and requires basic automotive skills. • Inject grease into units such as springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles using a hand‑ or compressed‑air powered grease gun.
• Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles.
• Check air pressure of tires.
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with the required amount of oil.
• Spray leaf springs with lubricant using a spray gun.
• Add water to radiator and battery.
• Replace oil and air filters.
• Sell lubrication and safety inspection services and maintain related records on regular customers, following up periodically with telephone, mail, or personal reminders.
• Perform duties that are work‑related as directed by manager or lead technician.

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Two years of experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice in an automotive dealership.
• Manual dexterity.

• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Good work ethic.
• Positive, hard‑working attitude with good judgment.

This is a physically demanding position. The Technician – Entry will stand six to eight hours per shift, lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds, and use a spray gun. The job requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and feeling. Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials is possible.
