Position: Fleet Development Facilitator (Hermiston, OR)

Position Summary

Provides training facilitation, content development, and oversight of fleet compliance to support Driver Trainees and fleet operations across Regional Training Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in content teach backs and co‑facilitate training content for Driver Trainees with senior leaders.
  • Provide feedback to participants in the Driver Trainee program.
  • Conduct facilitation audits for all Fleet Development roles.
  • Conduct One Best Way consistency tours in Regional Training Centers with leadership to provide risk assessments.
  • Ensure One Best Way compliance and alignment with Fleet Development class content.
  • Participate in Fleet Development content development and reviews, providing feedback to the Learning Content Development team.
  • Conduct assessment reviews with the Learning Content Development team to validate the accuracy of Fleet Development content.
  • Support adoption of structural and change initiatives by engaging with associates within Regional Training Centers and catchment areas.
  • Educate Driver Trainees on change initiatives through classroom and virtual training.
  • Assist in execution of Regional Training Center processes and tours to teach outside class delivery times.
  • Conduct training classes in accordance with block schedules.
  • Monitor virtual reality training utilization and end‑of‑day activities across multiple Fleet Development locations.
  • Stay informed on changes in One Best Way processes, working with associates and leaders.
  • Deliver training to Regional Training Center associates using various modalities, including Academy Connect and virtual reality.
  • Implement and support training for specialty and change initiatives.
  • Engage with Fleet Development Trainers to provide additional training and follow‑up on task completion.
  • Provide supervision, development, and recognition opportunities for associates through hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrate up‑to‑date expertise, providing advice and guidance in application of best practices.
  • Support implementation of business solutions, building relationships, monitoring progress, and adapting to change.
  • Model compliance with company policies, procedures, and Walmart values, supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Build high‑performing teams, embrace diversity, and foster a culture of belonging.
  • Attract, retain, and develop talent, recognizing contributions.
  • Maintain highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, promoting Walmart values.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current holder of an interstate (Class

    A) Commercial Driver’s License with HAZMAT endorsement (or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire) and cleared background check.
  • 3+ years of full‑time Class A tractor/trailer driving experience in the past 7 years.
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • No serious or DUI/DWI/OUI/ reckless driving violations in the last 10 years.
  • No preventable accidents on a commercial vehicle in the past 3 years (ATA guidelines). No DOT recordable accidents in past 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 250,000+ miles over‑the‑road experience.
  • Over‑the‑road driver with no moving violations in last 3 years.
  • Training or facilitation experience.
