POSITION: The New Day Cafe Customer Service position is responsible for waiting on customers, operating the cash register to conduct transactions, concise cash handling, opening and closing the cafe, making coffee, popcorn and keeping inventory stocked. This position requires good communication skills.
QUALIFICATION: Someone able to work with support of a job coach and grow into becoming independent in his or her tasks within 12-24 months. Reliable transportation, high school diploma act 33, 34 and federal background check.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Arrives on time and is dressed appropriately.Displays appropriate communication skills with coworkers/customers at all times.Brews coffee makes popcorn according to procedures postedOperation of cash register and accurate money handlingGeneral cleaning of Cafe and equipmentTake out the trash for closing the CafeAttend mandatory monthly staff meetingsReplenish stockRotate food itemsComplete mandatory agency trainingsMonitor employee email accountFollows all of Community Counseling Center's policies, respects confidentiality, and exhibits a professional demeanor at all times while at work.Use the MITC time clock at the beginning and end of every shift.In the case of injury inside or outside of the building to any person or property, the appropriate personnel will be notified and an incident report completed and submitted within 24 hours.Meet with job coach weekly to review progress of this paid work experience.Learn all tasks and be able to perform them independently within 6 months of hire.Work with Job Coach after 6-12 months of employment to seek other employment outside of CCC.Treat all individuals encountered during work shift with respect and kindness.Must be able to see, hear, speak, read, grasp, walk, sit, climb stairs, and able to lift up to 20 pounds.Any violation of policies, or job duties will be subject to disciplinary action.Performs all duties assigned.Can perform the essential functions of this position with reasonable accommodations, if necessary.- Maintains and upholds Community Counseling Center's policies, respects confidentiality, and exhibits a professional demeanor at all times while at work.

and needs of consumer. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director/designee and is
monitored through/by consumer satisfaction, meetings, reports, and observations.
