Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working with a range of medical equipment and treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to patients with diverse health needs, including but not limited to cardiac and stroke care.
• Perform essential procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and central line dressing changes.
• Conduct hourly rounding on days and every 2 hours on nights to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain thorough documentation via the Meditech system.
• Utilize and troubleshoot medical equipment including bipaps, high flow oxygen, and wound vacs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and peripheral IV skills is essential.
• Preferred experience in peritoneal dialysis, stroke care, and post-cardiac catheterization.
• Evaluated skills in EKG rhythm interpretation and multiple oxygen delivery systems.
