Education Specialist

Emily Diana Collective is seeking a warm, experienced Educational Specialist to join our growing team and provide individualized academic and executive functioning support to students throughout the South Bay.

This position may be a great fit for a credentialed teacher, special education teacher, resource specialist, learning specialist, intervention teacher, educational therapist, or reading specialist who enjoys working one-on-one with students and is looking for meaningful part‑time work outside of a traditional classroom setting.

• Provide individualized academic support and intervention
• Support students in reading, spelling, writing, math, and/or executive functioning
• Adapt instruction based on each student’s learning profile, strengths, and needs
• Help students develop organization, planning, study skills, and academic independence
• Communicate professionally with parents and collaborate with teachers and other providers when appropriate
• Maintain a consistent weekly schedule and provide reliable, relationship‑based support

• Teaching credential and/or graduate‑level training in education, special education, educational therapy, literacy, or a related field
• Experience working with elementary, middle school, high school, and/or young adult learners
• Experience supporting students with learning differences, ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning challenges, or other academic needs
• Strong understanding of individualized instruction and academic intervention
• Structured literacy experience is preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through
• Warm, patient, and professional approach with students and families
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally throughout the South Bay

This is a part‑time position with the opportunity to build a consistent caseload.

Most sessions take place during the school day and after school, with the greatest need during weekday afternoons. Candidates should be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule.

Sessions may take place at our Hermosa Beach office, in students’ homes, or on local private school campuses throughout the South Bay.

Emily Diana Collective is a boutique educational support practice serving students and families throughout the South Bay of Los Angeles. Our team provides educational therapy, academic tutoring, executive functioning coaching, homeschool support, and educational consulting.

Our approach is individualized, collaborative, and relationship‑driven. We work closely with students, families, teachers, and other professionals to strengthen academic skills while building confidence and greater independence as learners.
