Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Night shift Principal Manufacturing Engineer (Level
3) / Sr. Principal Manufacturing Engineer (Level
4). The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment. This position will be located at our site in Iuka, Mississippi where technology and teamwork come together.

Manufacturing Engineers for Aeronautics Systems are expected to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and difficult problems. They are problem solvers who have the ability to provide results that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives. We seek Manufacturing Engineers that use a unique skill set that includes a hands-on approach and act as the technical representative voice for the Manufacturing organization.
Please note: A start date, for candidates selected, will be determined after obtaining both a DOD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access and is contingent upon Business/Customer funding.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Other duties may include:
Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Available Shifts:
NOTE: This shift includes a shift differential in addition to base pay .
- B Shift Production: 5:30pm to 4am, Monday - Thursday (4x10’s)

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Manufacturing Engineer level or a Sr. Principal Manufacturing Engineer level based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Manufacturing Engineer
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of technical and/or engineering experience OR Master's Degree with 3 years of technical and/or engineering experience
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work any shift as needed by the business.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Access Program within a reasonable period prior to starting. Clearance is not required to apply.
