Co-Op Student, Power Delivery Engineering, Fall

Gain experience and exposure to practical engineering applications within the utility industry. Individual normally works under close supervision and will perform a variety of functions and work on various projects, working with engineers and engineering associates.

• Interface with external Customers to provide electric service.
• Design electric distribution facilities and perform various engineering studies using computer based systems.
• Work as part of a cross‑function team to meet the needs of Customers.
• Assist in outage restoration efforts as needed.
• Work assignment complexity and responsibility grows with tenure of student employees.
• Performs other duties as directed by management.

• Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil engineering majors to work full time during the designated semesters.
• Must be currently enrolled in school full‑time, pursuing a bachelor’s degree or beyond as indicated above.
• Preferred:
  Sophomore, Junior, and Senior candidates.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale).

• Computer skills – familiar with various databases, as well as Windows environment and Microsoft toolkit (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must have good communication and Customer Service skills.

Office and Field work. Some situations might require ability to work in adverse climate conditions and the physical nature of work may require walking long distances in uneven off‑road environments. Some travel may be necessary.
