ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for making regular planned calls to our member stores serving in a liaison capacity between the store and the warehouse.
- Responsible for interpreting departmental (Produce) financial and operating statements and advising members regarding strengths and weaknesses within the operation.
- Perform necessary analysis and planning to ensure that the produce merchandising objectives and priorities for assigned members are established and met within time limits.
- Assist in the development of produce case allocation programs, i.e., plan-o-grams, etc.
- Assist in specialized situations such as aiding in ordering seasonal produce merchandise, handbills, continuity programs, and special programs.
- Work with others so that the total job responsibilities are met in a satisfactory manner; actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact, and consideration with other members, superiors, and co-workers.
- Responsible for securing knowledge regarding competitor’s produce merchandising strategies and being able to analyze the impact of the advice on countering measures as required.
- Accomplish those activities necessary to keep management informed on all planning, analysis, work performed, and results achieved; all records required by management are complete, accurate, up-to-date and submitted on time.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to member store associates on best practices with merchandising and store operations; present opportunities and innovative strategies clearly.
- Responsible for handling all assigned stores following all warehouse programs.
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by Fresh Sales Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEDegree or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
