Pay: $80,000 per year

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in Gov Con environment.
• Experience in GL accounting for government contractor.
• Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, lease accounting (ASC 842), and accounting principles.
• Understanding of payroll accounting for payroll tax liability reconciliation.
• Ability to manage strict deadlines for month-end close and year-end audit.
• Strong Excel skills with ability to summarize and reconcile large amounts of data using advanced formulas.
• Proficient user of Excel pivot tables.
• Ability to reconcile various balance sheets across multiple entities within the larger company.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• High attention to details.
• CPA Certification is desired but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.

The ideal candidate will bring their experience to an established team and help with ensuring continued smooth processes and performance.

• Report directly to the Director of Accounting.
• Assist monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for 60+ legal entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare and support some intercompany eliminations, ensuring accuracy and transparency in some intercompany transactions and balances.
• Handle accounting for operating and finance leases, including journal entries, leased asset lifecycle tracking, and maintenance of lease schedules in compliance with ASC 842.
• Reconcile various payroll tax related accounts, identify process issues and present recommendations and root cause analysis.
• Query and manage large data sets with the ability to summarize results and identify patterns among numerous transactions.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to inquiries to support annual audits and internal reviews.
• Assist to collaborate with Facility, Tax, Treasury, and Operations to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
