Senior Accountant job at Creative Financial Staffing (CFS). Herndon, VA.

LocationHerndon, VA – Position will be hybrid.
Responsibilities- Track new debt company signs.
- Record monthly interest expense and reconcile.
- Maintain amortization schedules.
- Make monthly journal entries.
- Book monthly payments, including schedule creation, derivative booking, and covenant ratio calculation.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as requested.
- 3+ years of corporate GL accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Previous intercompany accounting experience.
- Strong Excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and index matching.
- Large ERP system experience (Net Suite used; previous Net Suite experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of debt accounting, ability to reconcile accounts, book journal entries, and understand debits and credits.
- International accounting experience is a plus.
- Works well in a fast‑paced environment.
- Eager to learn.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Enjoys teamwork.
- Hard working and efficient.
- Dedicated to getting the work done correctly.
- Self‑motivated and does not require micromanagement.
- Committed to the position.
