Position Title:
Accounts Payable Specialist
Location:
Chantilly, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite; remote consideration available for qualified candidates)
Assignment Type:
Temp-to-Permanent
Compensation: $25-$28/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Benefits:

- Review, validate, and process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Match invoices to purchase orders and investigate discrepancies as needed
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment and invoicing issues
- Prepare and process payments through various methods including ACH, check, and credit card transactions
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation throughout the accounts payable process
- Reconcile vendor accounts and assist with payment tracking activities
- Process and reconcile company credit card transactions
- Review employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience within a Government Contracting environment
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems
- Experience with Concur or other expense management software
- Prior experience supporting high-volume invoice processing environments
