Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

The Senior Accountant contributes to SEC filings, consolidated financial statements, and technical accounting documentation while supporting U.S. GAAP, SEC, and SOX compliance for a newly public company.

Key responsibilities include:

• External Financial Reporting: Prepare sections of 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-H/8-K filings, validate disclosures, collaborate cross-functionally, utilize reporting platforms like Workiva, and support audits.
• Technical Accounting & Consolidation: Research accounting matters, draft memos, implement new standards, and prepare consolidation entries.
• Policy & Controls: Support SOX compliance and drive process improvements.

Skills &

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, consolidations, and internal controls.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills, and high attention to detail in a regulated national security environment.
• Preferred experience includes XBRL/iXBRL tagging, Workiva, and Deltek Costpoint.
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CPA-eligible, and 3–5 years of relevant experience (public accounting preferred).
