Satair is looking for a Business Analyst (Contract) to join our Commercial Analytics Team based in Herndon, VA
.

In this role you will drive back‑end activities internally that support the broader Commercial community to use big data for decision making and strategic purposes; contributing to business competitiveness and customer satisfaction.

The D.C. area is also home to our regional corporate headquarters – located adjacent to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) – it makes flying in a breeze!

• Prepare business and pipeline reports for team and management meetings
• Develop and maintain databases, including data model design, data collection and data cleaning
• Apply basic coding to merge, compare, analyze data sets
• Identify and interpret patterns and trends in data sets, providing analytical support and insights to the commercial team

• Maintain dialogue and work closely with other functions including Commercial & Support, Product Management and Operations teams to understand the business as well as developments and trends in the market
• Providing data and administrative support to adhoc projects

• Other administrative tasks or duties reasonably required from time to time by the Company

Required:

• Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• 0-2 years data analytics experience
• Up to 5% Domestic Travel involved (to join sales team quarterly meetings, only if required)
• Able to work in US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
• Analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights
• Fluency in English and ability to communicate clearly to stakeholders
• Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office or other relevant tools used for data analytics and visualisation

Preferred:

• Basic coding proficiency in Python, R etc
• Strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally
• Understanding enterprise planning systems like SAP; advanced knowledge of MS Excel

• Onsite or remote: 60% onsite
• Vision:
  Daily be able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
• Hearing:
  Daily able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
• Speaking:
  Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
• Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors):
  Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.
• Carrying:
  Daily able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
• Lifting:
  Daily able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
• Pushing / Pulling:
  Daily able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
• Sitting:
  Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
• Squatting / Kneeling:
  Daily able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
• Standing:
