Senior Manager, Sustainability Roadmap & Sponsor ships

The Senior Manager, Sustainability Roadmap & Sponsor ships is responsible for defining, coordinating, and providing technical/project management support to implement Airbus’ environmental roadmaps at sites across the US. They also lead the day‑to‑day management of sponsor ships and donation processes across Airbus’ US sites and functions.

• Environmental Business Integration Roadmap and Climate Adaptation (50%) – define, coordinate, and provide support for implementing site‑level environmental roadmaps, support global High5+ forecasts and reporting, and assist central sustainability on key climate adaptation projects.
• Sponsor ships Management and Process Implementation (35%) – lead daily management of the regional Sponsor ships, Donations, and Membership process, manage approvals in the My Integrity tool, collect data, and report on regional SDM spend/activity.
• Internal Engagement (10%) – maintain a network of Sustainability Ambassadors, manage the Airbus Hub Sustainability page, and coordinate internal engagement initiatives and events.
• Other duties as assigned (5%) – retain flexibility to support additional responsibilities.

• Education –
  
  Required:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in science, sustainability management, marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Preferred:
  Master’s degree.
• Experience –
  
  Required:
  
  10+ years of project management in a complex industrial organization, with prior experience on sustainability topics.
• Travel – 10% to 20% domestic and international.
• Citizenship – Authorized to work in the United States.

• Strong project management skills – manage a wide range of projects linked to Airbus’ environmental roadmap and sponsor ships process.
• Stakeholder management – prepare for and execute regular engagement with site leaders and senior management.
• Sustainability knowledge – familiarity with sustainability roadmaps, decarbonization strategies, and proven track record in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives.
• Reporting skills – synthesize complex processes into clear, actionable reporting.
• Analytical and financial acumen – understand and review financial documentation supporting environmental roadmap and sponsorship requests.
• Communication – strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills.

• Communication Skills – Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages (French, German, or Spanish) preferred.
• Technical Systems Proficiency – Proficient in office productivity software; preferred knowledge of Workday, Google Workspace, and the My Integrity Airbus SDM tool.
• Physical Requirements – Onsite minimum 60%; daily tasks include computer use, reading documents, basic lifting (up to 30 lbs), and occasional travel.
• Compliance – Must have an awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.
