Inventory Control Research Specialist

Sparks Group is seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Inventory Control Research Specialist with 2-3 years of experience to join our Global IT solutions client. In this role, you will perform cross-system data research and root-cause analysis to reconcile inventory discrepancies, ensure data accuracy, and streamline reporting processes.

• Investigate, track, and resolve complex inventory variance issues by querying and cross-referencing data across multiple enterprise software systems and ERP platforms.
• Conduct detailed audits and line-item reconciliations between physical counts, system records, receiving logs, and transaction histories.
• Identify systemic errors, process bottlenecks, or data entry discrepancies that lead to inventory variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Build and maintain inventory reconciliations, tracking models, and routine reports using advanced Excel functions.
• Partner with warehouse operations, procurement, receiving, and finance teams to correct inventory records and improve overall inventory accuracy.

• Prior experience in inventory control, logistics, or data reconciliation, with a demonstrated ability to independently research and resolve complex data discrepancies.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
• Mastery of complex formulas, VLookup, Pivot Tables, Power Query, data formatting, and dynamic datasets.
• Comfort navigating and pulling data from multiple databases, ERPs (e.g., SAP, Net Suite, Oracle), or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Ability to clearly explain technical data findings and recommendations to non-analytical team members and leadership.
