A rapidly growing hyperscale data center developer is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its development and construction team in Northern Virginia.
This organization is responsible for the delivery of large-scale digital infrastructure campuses supporting some of the world's largest technology companies. With a multi-gigawatt pipeline and significant capital investment committed across North America, this role offers the opportunity to help shape and deliver mission critical facilities at scale.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, construction, commissioning, and successful delivery of hyperscale data center developments. Acting as the owner's representative, you will manage general contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities- Lead multiple hyperscale data center projects through design, construction, commissioning, and handover
- Manage Tier 1 general contractors, design teams, commissioning agents, and key vendors
- Drive project schedules, budgets, reporting, risk management, and performance metrics
- Review construction progress and ensure alignment with development objectives
- Coordinate with design, real estate, operations, procurement, and executive leadership teams
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, change orders, and capital expenditure budgets
- Lead regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Evaluate construction risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support site selection, due diligence, and preconstruction activities as required
- Ensure all projects meet company standards for safety, quality, and operational readiness
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of construction or development experience
- Experience delivering mission critical, hyperscale, advanced technology, semiconductor, or other highly technical projects
- Strong understanding of design management, project controls, scheduling, procurement, and commissioning
- Experience managing large general contractors and consultant teams
- Proven ability to lead complex projects in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Owner's representative experience
