Tooling Services Order Specialist – Herndon, VA

How You Will Contribute To The Team Customer Support (40%) Tool Lease
  • Focal point of contact for customers in the Americas regarding tool lease services
  • Responsible for processing customer requests for tool lease quotations and incoming orders
  • Ensure smooth progression of order handling and follow up according to customers' requirements
  • Proactively notify customers about their order status
  • Monitor and report customer KPI
Tool Sale
  • Manage end‑to‑end interfaces between supplier, customer, and internal organizations for all tool sales
  • Follow up with customers for tooling returns and warranty claims, accept and record feedback regarding damages
  • Support customer tool order packages; coordinate with tool services management in Hamburg to ensure orders are processed efficiently and timely
Internal Team Interface (40%) Tool Repair
  • Generate customer order status reports and internal tool order status reports with updated information
  • Work closely with local repair shops and internal customers to ensure tools are maintained, repaired promptly, and optimized for maximum efficiency
  • Manage customer lease return and Airbus stock tools repairs and recertification
Reporting (20%)
  • Report status of available Airbus prop. tool recertification and lease return inventory
  • Collect, analyze, and implement lessons learned and corrective actions for missed tool lease/sale/repair opportunities
About You
  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement or equivalent education and experience
  • 3‑5 years of experience in a customer service function
  • Analytical skills and experience in developing reports and describing status of activities
  • Experience using G Suite, Excel, and/or Google Sheets
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong technical background, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
Physical Requirements
  • On‑site (not remote)
  • Vision, hearing, speaking, equipment operation, carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, sitting, squatting/kneeling, standing, traveling, walking – all daily as described
  • Must use required personal protective equipment as per site and customer site
Citizenship
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future need for visa sponsorship
