With Herndon camps you’ll build your resume and your professional skills by gaining experience in leadership, decision-making, and communication. Summer camps are a renowned springboard to progressively responsible full and part-time positions.

• Assist with the operation of a six-week field trip-based travel camp for youths ages 12 - 15.
• Supervise the camp, early care program and camp staff.
• This position involves daily interaction with parents.
• Lead trips, games, sports, arts & crafts and other recreation events.
• This position will be required to drive a 15-passenger van to local and regional field trip locations daily.
• Evaluate program; submit weekly reports, other related duties that may apply

• CPR and first aid certifications required.
• Must work full six-weeks of camp and one-week of training.
• Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Previous supervisory and camp leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years of educational background in recreation, physical education, education, related field, or comparable experience desired.
• Comfortable in deep water pools, ability to swim 25 yards and tread water desirable.

• Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 5pm - up to 40 hours week during camp sessions, June 29 – August 7, including July 4th.
