PCB Electrical Engineer
Join our innovative team as a PCB Electrical Engineer, where you will design and build cutting‑edge electro‑optical systems for NASA and DoD projects. As part of our R&D team located in Herndon, VA, you will contribute to the development of advanced laser products and work on both short‑ and long‑term projects that enable groundbreaking laser research for the aerospace industry. You will manage various engineering tasks including circuit board development, firmware (FPGA & CPU) development, cable/harness design, and documentation, along with board‑ and system‑level integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Design and build electro‑optical systems for NASA and DoD projects.
- Contribute to the development of laser products within the R&D team.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, including short and long‑term assignments.
- Develop, verify, and upgrade electronics in electro‑optical systems.
- Participate in circuit board development, firmware development, cable/harness design, and documentation.
- Engage in board‑ and system‑level integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in field tests and experiments.
- Utilize electrical lab equipment as part of embedded system development.
- 3‑8 years of applicable work experience.
- Experience with circuit board design, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Hands‑on experience participating in field tests and experiments.
- Proficiency in using electrical lab equipment for embedded system development.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience developing hi‑rel military and/or space‑flight electronics.
- Proficiency in FPGA/CPLD design, simulation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in embedded CPU/Microcontroller firmware development, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with LIDAR systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Herndon, VA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 – $80.00 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
