Execute assigned projects through administrative, technical, and managerial techniques to ensure their successful and timely completion within the allocated budget.
Responsibilities Leadership and Direction- Receive broad guidance from senior‑level management relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
- Assist with the marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.
- Collaborate with Department Directors and staff to make continuous improvements to the Commissioning standards and technical processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
- Perform project development for complex projects, including finalizing scope of projects, preparing bid summaries, preparing project budgets and cost estimates.
- Monitor and manage work‑in‑process, billings, and outstanding accounts receivable collection efforts.
- Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables.
- Clearly communicate with clients and project teams in a timely effort to ensure project teams successfully understand and execute all project commissioning tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain close relationships with clients to resolve all project questions including technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries.
- Assist with marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings.
- Assist team leader in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.
- Prepare estimates, develop proposals, and change orders.
- Oversee, review, and support the preparation of document reviews, document development, functional performance testing, documentation of Cx tasks and activities, training, meetings and meeting minutes, site observations, inspections and testing, development of manuals, and reports for projects. In rare instances, witness and execute functional performance testing of MEP systems.
- Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings. Ensure assigned projects stay within budget allocation.
- Supervise work of project personnel to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards.
- Liaise with clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on projects.
- Review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget.
- Provide procedural and technical assistance and guidance to commissioning staff for all project related tasks.
