Purpose

At Bowman Consulting Group, we deliver innovative engineering and consulting solutions to improve the built environment and strengthen the communities we serve. We are proud to partner with the Department of Defense through the Skill Bridge Program, offering transitioning service members meaningful opportunities to gain hands-on-experience in the civilian workforce.

The purpose of the Survey Skill Bridge Fellowship is to provide a progressive, field-focused training program that equips trainees with the full range of technical, operational, and leadership skills for a field surveyor role. The program emphasizes practical, real-world survey tasks, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

* Perform work under the direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes.

At the Operational and Company Level

* Interact with multiple departments and peers within the organization and participate in Skill Bridge program learning and development opportunities.

Do the Work

* Set up, operate, and maintain survey equipment.

* Perform survey calculations and computer drafting and modeling.

* Use latest technology to ensure clients receive the highest quality service and end results.

* Use 3D laser scanning and drone surveying.

Qualifications

* Active-duty service member, approved for DoD Skill Bridge participation.

* Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) or equivalent military training/experience.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

* Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.
