Inventory Specialist
Hawk Eye 360 is seeking a highly organized, proactive Inventory Manager to oversee our engineering lab environment and satellite hardware inventory. As we scale our constellation of small satellites, maintaining a world‑class, high‑efficiency lab space is essential to our mission success.
In this role, you will ensure our engineering teams have the tools, components, and well‑managed environment needed to design and build cutting‑edge RF technology. You will own our inventory management processes, coordinate with critical vendors, maintain calibration schedules, and ensure the lab is safe, efficient, and mission‑ready.
Responsibilities- Maintain and continuously update our internal inventory tool (Epsilon) to track flight hardware, serial numbers, electronic components, and consumables.
- Perform receiving inspections to verify incoming hardware against shipping documentation and CoCs, ensuring accurate updates to inventory system.
- Organize, label, and store Hawk Eye 360 hardware across engineering lab spaces to support multiple satellite build programs.
- Dispatch hardware to engineers and technicians, ensuring accurate real‑time updates to inventory trackers.
- Manage procurement for lab supplies, including submitting and tracking purchase orders, and coordinate closely with vendors for timely delivery.
- Ensure the lab is consistently stocked with essential engineering materials (connectors, cables, fasteners, tools, soldering supplies, etc.).
- Maintain a clean, professional, and highly organized lab environment aligned with best practices for engineering and test operations.
- Own the schedule and execution of equipment calibrations to ensure measurement tools meet quality and audit standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering and Facilities for lab upgrades, hazmat handling, power requirements, and safety/compliance activities.
- 3+ years of experience in lab management, inventory control, supply chain, or a similar operational role in a high‑tech engineering environment.
- Strong experience working with vendors, managing purchase orders, and coordinating procurement activities.
- Experience operating in an engineering lab; strong ESD awareness and adherence to safety best practices.
- Clear, proactive communication skills with both engineering and operations stakeholders.
- Proficiency with inventory management tools; experience with Epsilon is a plus.
- Familiarity with workflow management tools such as Jira or Confluence.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to create and enforce organizational systems.
$60,000 - $90,000 annually
