Position
Data Center Security Installation Project Manager
Location100% Onsite in Herndon, Virginia.
Responsibilities- Oversee the installation of electronic security systems at multiple sites.
- Establish and implement procedures and controls to ensure that security installation projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage project site managers and supervisors.
- Interface with customer personnel and respond to their issues and concerns.
- Coordinate with the general contractor and other trades.
- Manage subcontractors and oversee their performance.
- Document project issues/conditions.
- Prepare installation proposals, change orders, and schedules.
- Prepare status reports and briefings.
- Responsible for the overall financial management of the project(s).
- Responsible for on-time project completion.
- Coordinate and run a project kick-off meeting (PKOM).
- Forecast cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
- Order materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare monthly reports analyzing the budget, schedule, cash flow, and manpower.
- Identify opportunities for cost‑saving measures, quality improvement and incorporating best practices.
- Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to.
- Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
- Oversee warranty service for completed installations.
Education/
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BS) or 7+ years of experience with a Master's Degree in Engineering. Experience working on electrical projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
- Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
- Experience using sophisticated Project Management, CPM Scheduling, Cost and AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on electrical projects. Familiar with standard deliverables and work process on projects.
- Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver. Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.
- Attention to detail.
- MS Excel skills.
- Experience with scheduling (MS Project) is a plus.
