Position

Data Center Security Installation Project Manager

Location

100% Onsite in Herndon, Virginia.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation of electronic security systems at multiple sites.
  • Establish and implement procedures and controls to ensure that security installation projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage project site managers and supervisors.
  • Interface with customer personnel and respond to their issues and concerns.
  • Coordinate with the general contractor and other trades.
  • Manage subcontractors and oversee their performance.
  • Document project issues/conditions.
  • Prepare installation proposals, change orders, and schedules.
  • Prepare status reports and briefings.
  • Responsible for the overall financial management of the project(s).
  • Responsible for on-time project completion.
  • Coordinate and run a project kick-off meeting (PKOM).
  • Forecast cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
  • Order materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepare monthly reports analyzing the budget, schedule, cash flow, and manpower.
  • Identify opportunities for cost‑saving measures, quality improvement and incorporating best practices.
  • Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
  • Oversee warranty service for completed installations.
Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BS) or 7+ years of experience with a Master's Degree in Engineering. Experience working on electrical projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
  • Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
  • Experience using sophisticated Project Management, CPM Scheduling, Cost and AutoCAD software.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on electrical projects. Familiar with standard deliverables and work process on projects.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver. Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.
  • Attention to detail.
  • MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with scheduling (MS Project) is a plus.
