Mechanical Project Engineer

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years of relevant industry-related experience in HVAC design (Commercial, Government, Academic, R&D, High-rise multi-family, Industrial).
• Software Proficiency:
  Technical mastery of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Modeling
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in CHVAC/RHVAC, Trane Trace, and/or eQuest modeling software.
• Technical Core:
  Extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices applied to complex mechanical/HVAC systems.
• Licensure:
  Professional Engineer (PE) license (Strongly Preferred).
• Certifications:
  
  EIT Registration and LEED accreditation (Strongly Preferred).
• Operational Support:
  Experience in construction cost estimation for mechanical systems.
• Leadership:
  Experience serving as a mentor, resource, or trainer for junior Design Engineers.

• HVAC Design:
  Lead all levels of mechanical (HVAC) design including the development of construction documents in accordance with current codes.
• Technical Leadership:
  Execute complex technical assignments and review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
• Project Lifecycle:
  Oversee designs through project construction and completion; conduct field observations to document existing field conditions.
• Coordination:
  Attend coordination and design meetings; define project specifications and determine budget construction cost estimates.
• Stakeholder Liaison:
  Represent the project team in client communications; address comments from clients, AHJs, and other review authorities.
• Project Management Support:
  Accurately produce construction documents to meet milestone schedules within predetermined hourly budgets.
• Construction Administration:
  If directed, review administrative items including shop drawings, RFIs, and change order proposals.
