Commissioning Project Engineer, AMER-East ACx

A Commissioning Project Engineer (CxPE) supports the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP). The position is part of a career development program to develop the CxPE into a Commissioning Engineer (CxE) through a three-phase mentoring program.

• Develop a detailed understanding of AWS critical infrastructure and learn fundamentals related to managing a commissioning project within AWS.
• Work with different team members to learn internal project management tools and participate in on-site commissioning activities.
• Support the Lead Commissioning Engineers (CxE) in managing a project from beginning to end.
• Manage the creation of projects within internal Amazon systems.
• Manage the administrative tasks related to the commissioning process.
• Support the Request for Quote process, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for commissioning vendors to provide a detailed quote.
• Manage required vendor project deliverables, ensuring on‑time delivery for the CxE's review.
• Manage project resourcing, ensuring all vendors comply with the Leads Qualification Process (LQP).
• Create and manage the approval of change management requests for commissioning activities of the assigned project.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
• 1+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Qualified trades personnel in Mechanical, Electrical or relevant discipline.

• Experience managing the creation of projects within internal Amazon systems and related administrative tasks.
• Experience supporting the Request for Quote process for commissioning vendors.
• Experience managing vendor project deliverables ensuring on‑time delivery for review.
• Experience managing project resourcing and ensuring vendor compliance with the Leads Qualification Process.
• Experience creating and managing change management requests for commissioning activities.

The base salary range for this position is 96,000. USD annually. The Amazon compensation package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
