Job Details We're seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to support the development of a safety-critical FAA program within a complex, mission-critical environment. This individual will play a key role in supporting FAA Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives related to Voice Communications Systems (VCS), reliability engineering, systems engineering, and safety risk management activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system safety engineering within highly regulated industries such as aerospace, aviation, defense, telecommunications, or other mission-critical environments. Responsibilities Lead and support System Safety Program activities for FAA Voice Communications System (VCS) initiatives in alignment with FAA Safety Management System (SMS) processes Support Reliability Engineering efforts for safety-critical communication systems Assist Systems Engineering and System Test activities for FAA VCS-related programs Prepare materials for and participate in Safety Risk Management Panels (SRMP) Develop and maintain System Safety documentation and analyses Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, testing, reliability, and program management teams Required Experience & Qualifications Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with FAA Safety Management System (SMS) Experience developing:
System Safety Program Plans (SSPP) System Hazard Analyses (SHA) Subsystem Hazard Analyses (SSHA) Operating & Support Hazard Analyses (O&SHA) System Safety Assessment Reports (SSAR) Safety Requirements Verification Tables (SRVT) Experience supporting Safety Risk Management Panels (SRMP) related to Air Traffic Control and/or Voice Communication systems Background supporting aerospace, aviation, defense, telecommunications, or other highly regulated industries Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Minimum of 5 years of safety engineering or related experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical…
