Senior Mechanical Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
10+ years of industry-related experience in mechanical systems design for commercial, government, or multifamily sectors
5+ years of project management experience
Knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, and building modeling software such as Trane Trace or eQuest
Thorough understanding of business and financial principles for consulting projects; familiarity with municipal codes and regulations
Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or EIT and LEED accreditation strongly preferred

Senior Mechanical Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead all phases of complex mechanical design projects, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery and adherence to quality standards
Mentor and guide junior project managers and design engineers
Oversee project development, including scoping, budgeting, and technical execution
Foster client relationships, serve as the primary project contact, and resolve inquiries or technical questions
Direct the preparation of project documents, specifications, estimates, and reports
Collaborate with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders to achieve project goals
Conduct field investigations and provide technical support during construction and project closeout
Actively participate in business development, marketing meetings, and client presentations
