Define and apply verification methods and acceptable evidence criteria for system, subsystem, and component requirements across the BESS product baseline, ensuring requirements are measurable, testable, and verifiable prior to verification planning.
Establish a multi-level verification strategy covering battery management system (BMS), power conversion system (PCS), energy management system (EMS), integration, and complete system validation, including boundary-condition testing, abnormal operation testing, failure mode verification, and fault-injection scenarios.
Conduct requirements-based verification coverage analysis to identify gaps, incomplete verification, residual risk, and compliance issues. Review and formally close verification evidence against requirements while documenting closure rationale within the requirements verification compliance matrix (VCRM).
Support integration and qualification activities, including component testing, subsystem integration testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, performance testing, reliability testing, and certification testing to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
Plan and execute validation activities demonstrating that the integrated BESS solution satisfies intended operational use cases, grid-support functions, energy management objectives, safety requirements, and customer performance expectations.
Assess residual risk following verification completion by identifying requirements with limited evidence, insufficient operational coverage, unresolved technical concerns, or verification uncertainty.
Review and assess supplier and third-party verification artifacts, including cell testing data, environmental qualification reports, reliability analyses, safety assessments, certification reports, and compliance documentation for adequacy, traceability, and technical credibility.
Maintain the VCRM linking every requirement to its verification method, verification event, responsible organization, evidence source, and closure status.
