BASE SALARY: $140,000 to $190,000
Schedule: 9/80 reg with every other Friday off

NOTE:
This role is onsite 100% of time with an every other Friday off schedule (9/80)
- This Lead position in Mechanical Engineering will be the main technical lead onsite for the Seabed Systems product lines.
- The position will be responsible for mechanical design, procurement support, environmental testing, and production support for Seabed Systems.
- A key part of this role is to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries and ensure programs are smoothly transitioned to production and deployment phases.
- The successful candidate is an experienced technical and business professional who is able to focus simultaneously on near- and long-term objectives.
- Technical leadership of the Mechanical Engineering team throughout the full program lifecycle including design, development, manufacturing, formal hardware qualification, integration and test, transition to production, and production support.
- Provide guidance and support to achieve project goals including participation in major design and milestone reviews, technical meetings, and project planning sessions
- Is a requirements-driven design engineer.
- Provide inputs to EVMS reporting regarding monthly progress and estimates to completion based on quantifiable backup data.
- Develop mechanical technical approaches for future proposals.
- Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.
- Travel up to 10% to vendor or manufacturing facilities will be required.
- Experience leading a Mechanical Design team
- Experience with electronics packaging for harsh marine environments
- Experience with Solidworks and PDM Vault
- Experience with undersea acoustics/sonar equipment
- Experience with DFx (Design for Simplicity, Manufacturability, Testability, etc)
- Experience working with government contracts, requirements, and compliance
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain security clearance
Skills:
- Experience with Ansys
- Familiarity using Jira for engineering metrics
