Position: Full Time Scan Coordinator

Summary

Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of customers by satisfying each customer’s needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires maintaining price file accuracy, shelf tag accuracy, and the signs for the entire store.

Essential Functions
  • Initiate and maintain interaction with customers on the sales floor, asking questions about their shopping needs and providing information to meet their tastes and meal requirements.
  • Ensure customer requests are followed through; if unable to comply, involve department management or the on‑duty manager.
  • Maintain a courteous, friendly, helpful, and prompt attitude toward every customer.
  • Make eye contact, smile, and speak to customers in a genuine and enthusiastic manner.
  • Dress, groom, and present a clean, neat appearance in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain price accuracy, shelf tag accuracy, and sign program for the entire store, including clipping height up to 72 inches and ladder use as needed.
  • Execute price file maintenance and ensure required scan accuracy % is achieved; perform new load procedures when appropriate.
  • Conduct aisle scans and MSI price checks using appropriate equipment and technology.
  • Report scan errors, temporary price reductions, and product availability issues to management.
  • Assist colleagues with unloading trucks, checking deliveries, restocking displays, and other duties as assigned.
  • Follow safety regulations, report all accidents and hazards, and record them in the designated log.
  • Handle chemicals in accordance with the Hazard Communication Program Manual.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and capable of performing multiple tasks during shifts.
Qualifications
  • Age 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Basic reading, writing, and speaking ability in English.
  • Basic math skills, including add and subtract two‑digit numbers using units of American money and weight.

  • Completion of company’s training, including new hire orientation, customer service, safety, scanning coordination, and certification.
Physical Demands

Consistently stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel items, reach, talk, hear, taste, and smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Frequently lift up to 34 lb, intermittently up to 60 lb, and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Requires close vision, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Exposed to wet, hot, or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level typically moderate.
