SAP NS2 FinOps Analyst

Job Summary

A highly motivated Fin Ops Analyst will support cloud financial management across multiple platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role focuses on cost optimization, financial reporting, and collaborating with solution owners and stakeholders to drive cost‑efficient cloud usage. The candidate will manage multiple priorities, present Fin Ops insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences, and independently troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Must be a US Citizen; this position requires access to customer data, and no visa sponsorship is available.

Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite at Herndon, VA office.

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
• Develop and deliver regular financial reports and insights to solution points of contact (POCs) and leadership
• Partner with engineering, architecture, and business teams to implement cost optimization strategies
• Track budgets, forecasts, and variances for cloud services
• Create dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into cloud usage and costs
• Present Fin Ops topics, recommendations, and best practices to stakeholders across the organization
• Support governance processes related to cloud financial management
• Independently troubleshoot discrepancies in cloud billing, reporting, and usage data without requiring guidance
• Investigate and resolve issues related to cost anomalies, tagging inconsistencies, and reporting gaps
• Assist in identifying and implementing automation opportunities for cost tracking and reporting

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
• Strong understanding of Fin Ops principles and cloud cost management strategies
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical and financial discrepancies
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail

• Fin Ops certifications from the Fin Ops Foundation (e.g., Fin Ops Certified Practitioner, Fin Ops Certified Professional)
• Hyperscaler certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or cost‑management specialties
• Experience with SAP products such as BTP and HANA
• Familiarity with cost‑management tools (native cloud cost tools or third‑party platforms)
• Basic coding/scripting skills (Python, SQL, or similar)
• Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Knowledge of automation and cloud‑native financial tooling
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and resolve issues without supervision
• Ability to communicate complex financial and technical concepts clearly

• Adaptability and ability to multitask
• Continuous learning mindset in cloud and financial operations

Target annual combined range for this position: 90,000–198,500 USD. The actual offer will be within this range and depend on education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, and other factors as determined through the selection process.
