Senior Political Analyst

Job Overview

Amentum is seeking a seasoned tradecraft analyst to serve as a fully contributing member of the customer’s Political Influence team in the Dulles, VA area. The role focuses on foreign influence operations, asymmetric warfare, and political disruption across a shifting global threat landscape. The analyst is not regionally aligned or a developmental seat.

• Follow threats across geographies, identify cross‑cutting actor tradecraft, and provide functional depth that complements regional teammates.
• Produce written and oral assessments on foreign influence campaigns, asymmetric and gray‑zone activity, and adversary efforts to disrupt political processes and institutional cohesion.
• Track adversary tradecraft, narratives, and infrastructure across multiple actors and theaters, identifying patterns of convergence and innovation.
• Collaborate as a peer with regional analysts, collectors, targets, and partner‑agency counterparts; represent the team in interagency working groups and briefings.

• B.A. in a relevant field (political science, international affairs, public policy, etc.).
• Minimum of five (5) years of analytic experience inside the IC, including mastery of IC analytic tradecraft standards.
• Demonstrated functional (not regional) expertise across at least two of the following topical areas: foreign malign influence operations, asymmetric or gray‑zone warfare, political subversion and disruption, election interference, or covert action by state proxies.
• Prior assignments in counter‑influence, counter‑disruption, hybrid threats, or information operations is useful.
• Operates as a self‑starter; no onboarding ramps or extended training included.

• Track record of publishing finished intelligence consumed at the senior policymaker or military commander level.

• Experience with AI applications relevant to the program.

TS/SCI required.

$140,000 – $200,000 annually (good‑faith estimate; actual compensation may vary).
